My name is Alistair MacPherson, a legal celebrant based in Inverness, in the heart of the Scottish Highlands. Alongside my wife Donna, our two children Eilidh and Lewis, and our dog Billy, we are proud to call this beautiful part of Scotland our home.

With over 25 years of experience working as a Chief Steward for Caledonian MacBrayne on the west coast of Scotland, I am a confident and experienced public speaker and event organiser. I have also dedicated time to supporting local cancer charities through event coordination.
Music has always been a huge part of my life. As a proud member of the Queen's Own Highlanders’ Association Pipe Band, I’ve played the bagpipes at ceremonies across Scotland and Europe for over 30 years. Scotland’s breathtaking locations have always been the most meaningful to me. I also enjoy playing the accordion in ceilidh bands, and when I’m not involved in music, you might find me playing darts or enjoying the stunning Scottish landscapes.
After many years of performing at weddings and funerals as a piper, I realised the incredible impact a celebrant can have on a couple’s special day or a family’s celebration of life. This realisation inspired me to train as a celebrant, and at the end of 2023, I completed my training with the UK Celebrant + Public Speaking Academy.
Although I’m based in the Highlands, I’m more than happy to travel anywhere in Scotland for your wedding, elopement, or funeral ceremony. My goal is to provide heartfelt, personalised ceremonies that capture the essence of each individual or couple.
